Great shave this morning. I just got this tub of Eleven in. It seems like a solid base and a pleasant scent.

I think Vetiver 46 is my favorite of the Le Labo samples that I ordered recently. I may end up with a full bottle of this and Oud 27 at some point.

I like my 26 mm Cashmere very much! Easy to lather with. I think I like this G5C more overall but the cashmere is great when I feel like making a quicker lather.

I've been loving it. My previous favorites include the Maggard Synthetic (just a tan colored run of the mill but great knot), Stirling's black & white synthetic which they market as 2-Band Synthetic (shrug), and AP Shave Co. Synbad.

There's a chance I set the loft a tad bit too high on this Cashmere, so I might try lowering it one of these days. This was my first attempt using a 3d printed spacer and it makes it really easy to get the loft exact.

Wow so I imagine you can get it down to a fraction of a millimeter? I always just use nylon washers from the hardware store so I can pretty much do mm increments, or perhaps they're 16ths of an inch.

Yup. 0.2mm is a typical layer height for 3d printing, so I can adjust in 0.2mm increments. I could also try 0.1mm but at that point I've completely lost it and would be wise to switch to canned foam and a safety razor so I don't hurt myself.

  • Prep: Shower
  • Brush: Badlands Shaving w/ AP Shave Co G5c 26mm
  • Razor: GEM G-Bar
  • Blade: GEM PTFE
  • Lather: Saponificio Varesino - 70th Anniversary
  • Post Shave: Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream
  • Fragrance: Tokyomilk - Bulletproof
  • Whiskers: Jojoba/Argan w/Tea Tree Oil
  • Skin Health: Zinc Oral Supplement

Fourth use of this soap. Scooped it again and loaded and lathered in the bowl. It smells wonderful, and it produces a good lather. It does go a long way due to being a hard soap which helps justify the cost.
