Hi everyone!

I’m thinking about buying Apple TV and was curious to know if this device can reproduce music and movies streamed from my home NAS which exposes content via DLNA/uPNP. If this can only play content from Apple services then I don’t think I’ll be buying this.

As a bonus it would be great if it could also play Spotify.

Even with VLC you can play nearly everything that is found on your network. I stream videos from a simple Windows PC without running Plex or whatever, just a simple shared folder.
Yes, there is a spotify app, too. And each and every music/movie streaming service you want.
