Yay a thing that will hurt everyone a lot and the big tech companies a little. A win is a win amirite
An extinction-level asteroid impact would be huge help as well.
Bring it on. All of these AI companies were already unprofitable and barely skating by on hype before, let's see how they handle increasing costs, hardware shortages, unemployment, and market instability.
Do they mean "How the Iran war could give the AI leeches a scapegoat for their snake oil crashing and burning, like it was always going to"? or is that just too long for a headline
Good.
The problem is that any solid prediction in an environment as unstable as this one is like trying to play billiard during a mayor earthquake. It is quite likely that this war will substantially fuck the world economy, and in the long run unleash a boom of renewable energy.
