2. Bigotry is not allowed. That includes racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, and religiophobia. (If you want to vent about religion, that's fine; but religion is not inherently evil.)

3. Frustrated, venting, or angry posts are still welcome.

4. Posts and comments that bait, threaten, or incite harassment are not allowed.

My mom is definitely center or left-of-center, and my sister is for sure a leftist, but besides that, not a one of my family members is leftist. They’re all right-wingers. I mean, some of my grandpa’s sisters, my aunts, are DEMOCRATS, but they’re very transphobic, which my Grandpa congratulates them for. My grandpa is hugely right-wing. My grandma is also right-wing, likely anti-immigration, but gets mad when Grandpa criticizes the left, so she might at least be more liberal than Grandpa but not a complete liberal/leftist. If liberal right-wingers exist, she could be that but IDK, I’m not very political.

Even my cousins are extremely right-wing. The boy is 13, constantly making fun of gay and trans people and bashing immigrants/Democrat politicians, whereas the girl (~18) isn’t really homophobic, and she certainly isn’t racist as she herself is black and has been discriminated against, but she is openly a conservative Republican as that’s what she believes. IDK her views on trans people, she probably finds them “goofy” though. She believes in capitalism like her mom, that hard work pays off, and that respect should be earned.

It's a holy war disguised as patriotism.

All my US Citizen family members lean democrat, but they still rant about "illegal immigrants"... despite us all being born in China (but we're all legal)

Mom told me that "Trump is a smart person"...

🤣

Jeez wtf propaganda is WeChat promoting

Mom told me "Democrats in NYC is causing so much chaos"...

The chaos like OUR FAMILY? They don't care about the distinction between legal and illegal.

My older brother is the craziest of them all. He hates black and brown people, but still complained about "trump is racist against Asians"...

Oh... uh huh... speaking of the "racism"... might wanna look into the mirror, bro...

I bet he realized that the best chance against trump is a Black Woman... his head probably exploded in the fact that he having to vote for a Black person is the most pragmatic option that's most beneficial to him

He thinks they're "DEI", that "the Dems let Black people be the face of it so they can get more votes"

Brother is about to get into marriage... arranged marriage to someone in China... oh jeez I wonder how fucked his parenting would be?

I mean his only advantage in the "marriage" thing is that our mom has money and property to leave to him...

He believes in Han-Chinese Supremacy lmfao...

He tries to make fun of me by saying to me "You're gonna marry a disgusting Mexican that clean toilets for a living"...

there isn't a single family member of mine that is a leftist. i am, quite literally, the only one and i know for a fact. it's very isolating but is why i do not speak to anyone aside from my mother. my very large family on both sides are a mixture of Democrat and Republican, but they are all ignorant, bigoted, and uneducated in the same ways. it's astonishing how i dislike my mother's side for their own reasons and my father's side for their own reasons but they overlap in oppression and systemic failure. both sides worship capitalism, religion, and the flag. even my cousins who are "more progressive" really aren't. they simply don't care if you're LGB(T maybe) and they aren't outwardly racist. not much better lol.

it's depressing to have 28 or so family members you have extremely little to nothing in common with not because your interests are so different, but your morals often lie in opposition. i can't look past that nor should i. my lines are to be respected if i respect myself. i do wish any of them saw reason though.

I don't know my families political orientation because we don't talk to each other. Checkmate!
