Any way to invoke Siri without having to raise my wrist or hold the digital crown? (alien.top)

Basically I heard about this story: https://www.mercurynews.com/2018/05/14/ohio-police-share-findings-of-probe-after-teen-dies-in-van/

And randomly thought that if I'm ever in a physically compromised situation and I wanna call emergency, it kinda won't work because when I just say "Hey Siri" with my wrist down, Siri doesn't get invoked.

Is there a workaround as of right now? On series 9 btw.

I guess another very similar question is can I always just have my apple watch in "normal" wrist up mode? Like I don't want it to ever be in wrist down "nerfed" mode like when the watchfaces go into the dimmer version for example.

On a side note, what a sad story. Poor kid even had his last words recorded saying he loved his mom and it honestly seems like he literally did everything a person could in that situation but the 911 operating system literally blocked out his pleas for help with worthless automated response technology and the police were so lazy that they decided to just vaguely look for an old woman lost in a parking lot assuming that the dropped call was due to age. Like how much of this can be attributed to the kid and how much of this was just this town having way too antiquated measures for emergencies. I couldn’t imagine yelling my location or screaming on the phone for help only for a 911 bot to say “Sorry I couldn’t understand. Goodbye! ☺️”

On my Watch 6 with WatchOS 17.1 there are Siri settings in the WatchApp on my iPhone.

I have activated "listen for "Hey Siri". But "raise hands to talk" is turned off. "Press digital crown" is also turned off. - Siri responds to "Hey Siri" without pressing digital crown or raising a hand to talk.

I can also have my watch/iPhone call emergency simply by holding the button below the crown for a few seconds.
