Mine doesn't even let you interrupt the beeping. If it goes off it's doing the whole sequence whether you like it or not.
I just got an old one that dings instead of beeping. much nicer

There are videos on how to disable it permanently
It does require a little disassembly. I have considered doing this but I use the timer on the microwave a lot when baking things.

Hop boy, don’t buy Samsung appliances then! They like to play songs instead of just a beep!
I used to have a microwave that you could stop at 0 if you hit the right time. Before the finish beeps but still at 0. It was like a frame perfect press though, really hard to get.
Also at my work there's someone who likes to leave it at 0:01. When I come in in the morning and it displays that I don't know the time. Gr. Use the little red button kthx
Mine has a setting but it doesn’t get saved after a power outage which occurs a couple times a year.
I had an old microwave that had a beep but a second after the cycle end so you had a whole second long window to open it peacefully. Beautiful lost technology.
