I don’t know if this has already been said in a thread or at least I have not seen it yet. But I think a big factor in this JJ situation and the Roquan situation last year is that we are partially hurt by having so much cap space. When a young player whose playing well sees how much available money we have, it’s not crazy to think that they can ask for more as well as feel betrayed when they don’t get offered that. Other teams at least have the argument in their pocket that they can only spare so much money bc they are close to the cap. If you disagree please let me know, this was just a stream of consciousness

Jaylon Johnson is also representing himself. He fired his agent in June.

These cats are getting shit career advice. Somebody whispering to them and screwing them over.

He probably wants $20M/yr and fair is probably $18M.

Everyone was happy to pay Eddie Jackson and then he sucked. Everyone was mad we didn't pay Fuller and then he sucked.

JJ is good, but hurt all the time. Like 25% of his career. There's a possibility that he's good but can't stay on the field. There's a possibility that he sucks and can't stay on the field. There's a possibility that he sucks and we're forced to play him because he's taking up 10% of the cap.

Or there's a possibility that he's good and for some reason stays healthy as he gets older.
