The wheels are coming off the russian war machine hard right now.

Even just the basic logic of two helicopters flying one after another in a neat line like this doesn't make sense to me, it gives the drone two tries at the same manuever.

It is lazy, sloppy and reveals the russians don't actually know what to do with their helicopters because the russian military has become so dysfunctional.

Are these pilots robots? Why would they fly so predictably?

Full video - NSFW

The pilots survived the crash, but were later killed by drones.

Imagine surviving that crash and thinking you got lucky, only to have another drone show up to finish the job.

Wild that ka-52 helis have ejection seats, didn't do much in this case against Ukraine but still.

Good riddance though, those pilots are irreplacable for russia.

It was a matter of time before they scored one. I remember watching and hearing about so many near hits from drone operators.

I think it is an expression of how poorly russia is deploying its aviation that Ukraine is able to predict and intercept russian attack helicopters with FPV drones like this. It is a failure at a basic level and demonstrates how much worse shape the russian military is in than it appears given the offensive they are conducting and all.

They already shot an helicopter down with an FPV drone

Edit: this marks the 3rd time

Oooh yeah, that last clip ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

The russian military is nosediving hard right now, this is very revealing in my opinion.

"Your mission is clear: to build and maintain those robots"

wow that's some good piloting with all the turbulence near a chopper

Unfortunately, like the last time a Ukrainian downed a helicopter with a FPV, people will hyperfocus on an imagined supremacy of drones rather than acknowledge the human skill of the pilot.

This is an expression of human skill and perseverance, not just a dumb techbro "drone beat helicopter" video. It takes immense HUMAN talent and patience to pull this off.
