Overview:

Electric Vehicles are a key part of our tomorrow and how we get there. If we can get all the fossil fuel vehicles off our roads, out of our seas and out of our skies, we'll have a much better environment. Yeah and people search “how to move to Canada” at a high rate the day after every US election.

I’ll take stories like these more seriously after real people have actually spent real money. Search trends are not indicative of anything useful.

To be fair, it's not like the article is saying sales have gone up 20% or anything like that, just that interest has.

There should be a correlation of starch interest and buyer interest.

And prices will jump just as much because of that, because why miss the opportunity to wrangle even more money out of a struggling population.

If you're paying over $50k for an ICE car these days, you're being wasteful and buying chaos.

The weird thing is, now every electric will shoot up in price.

I thought demand was supposed to bring the price down in capitalism? Mmhm.

Only if the supply goes up, and all the companies laser focused on quarterly returns have been pumping the brakes on their EV rollouts...
