It is automation of the home, housework or household activity.
Home automation may include centralized control of lighting, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning), appliances, security locks of gates and doors and other systems, to provide improved convenience, comfort, energy efficiency and security.

Yeah the mini splits are smart and I had it setup to shut down at 25*. I turned that off temporarily as the other day it dropped more than expected overnight and I didn't have heat on for a while. No big deal in this instance as I just clicked on the furnace when I woke up.... but that is the impetus of this whole thing. When these instances happen, I'd prefer if my gas furnace just fired up without me having to do anything.
I have had smart tech off and on in the house, the Amazon and Google/Nest ecosystems. Mostly on lights, locks, leak sensors, and thermostat... over time I've ripped out most everything except a couple lights, leak sensor, and door locks.
What ecosystem are those being run through?
