Hi,

I would like to buy an Apple TV and I would like your expertise.
I currently using a shield TV, I like it, but for several weeks, it crashed way too often.
I don't do a lot of things with it, mostly streaming Netflix, YouTube, disney+, etc.

My question is, how is it with VLC on Apple TV, I didn't find a lot of things about it except from streaming from a PC. I don't do that, I just want to use my NAS.

I also don't like Plex server, I just send videos from my PC/iPad/iPhone to my NAS and want to see them on the TV.

Also, can we send files directly from the iPhone to the Apple TV?

Thank you for your help ;)

VLC works with my network servers. I haven’t tried it with HDR or Dolby Vision files though.

Infuse is the app to get. It indexes all the files nicely and ads cover art. It plays anything I throw at it. No special service software needed.
