Antonelli ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ well done

Hamilton podium!!! Finally.

[โ€“] hal_5700X@sh.itjust.works 12 points 2 weeks ago

7 cars out and 4 of them didn't even start.

GG Kimi.

Williams in the points!

It was a better race than Australia.

Norris having electrical issues and might not make it out in time for a grid start. Oop.

I wonder which race will be the first with 22 cars on the grid. I think it will be Spain or Austria.

Both McLarenโ€™s it seems

๐Ÿ’€

That would be a second DNS for Piastri.

[โ€“] Munkisquisher@lemmy.nz 4 points 2 weeks ago

How far through the season before Piastri gets to start the season?

[โ€“] lazycouchpotato@lemmy.world 11 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Race is much more interesting so far than last year's. Enjoying the Haas vs Alpine battles.

[โ€“] lazycouchpotato@lemmy.world 8 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Loved the Ferrari battles even if at their own cost. Antonelli running away with the lead.

Ferrari have taught the drivers some good deployment techniques, they are jumping around each other just like they did against the Merc last weekend.

And whatever is helping their starts also gives good SC restarts.

They did it!

[โ€“] hsr@lemmy.dbzer0.com 10 points 2 weeks ago

Ferrari built for combat

[โ€“] lazycouchpotato@lemmy.world 8 points 2 weeks ago

Omg Haas mechanics hacking away at Ocon's car in the pits with bolt cutters. Don't think I've ever seen that in F1.

[โ€“] hsr@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

what the fuck is happening

[โ€“] woelkchen@lemmy.world 5 points 2 weeks ago

I don't care what the naysayer say: This is brilliant!

[โ€“] Munkisquisher@lemmy.nz 4 points 2 weeks ago

Ocon "yeah that was my fault"

[โ€“] lazycouchpotato@lemmy.world 6 points 2 weeks ago

Spicy start. Was hoping Ferrari could hold the lead for at least a few more laps before going back to Merc 1-2.

[โ€“] lazycouchpotato@lemmy.world 6 points 2 weeks ago

Glad Leclerc is enjoying the battle haha. We are too.

[โ€“] lazycouchpotato@lemmy.world 6 points 2 weeks ago

Ah Ocon was having a decent race performance until that incident. Bearman has been fantastic in comparison.

The 'bunny on skis' track layout really is a great design for racing

[โ€“] ceilingcelery@lemmy.world 4 points 2 weeks ago

What a great race! Lewis going at Charles for that sequence of corners was fantastic! Well done to Kimi, held his cool (aside from the lock up) and got a well deserved win. Disaster for McLaren, and a shame that Oscar hasn't run any racing laps so far this year yet.

[โ€“] lazycouchpotato@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

Welp the engine did not last the race distance like Honda was hoping. https://youtu.be/GjXxi-1eZ7w

Red Bull having a disastrous race so far.
