Hello. I currently don't know of a place that tolerates me speaking. Some explicit reasons I'm given are that I'm male-homosexual, and that I'm ethnically/racially indeterminate/intolerated. It's common for people to be violent toward me. I'm wondering if I'm permitted to speak here? (My profile has some more information that may be triggering.)

Why do you have 2 posts and multiple comments talking about how you're being genocided in Arizona of all places? Go to a mens health clinic. Barring that find a shelter, if you can do neither find a unitarian church. There are no immediate resources here for you.

If you need help navigated what meager social outreach there is for you, I'd be happy to help you find someone.

If this is a mental health crisis go to an ER. Do not call 911 as a police officer may be dispatched instead of EMS.

Good luck, but I don't know how lemmy can help you if you're under threat of immediate physical attack.

I take refuge in the Triple Gem; am request/suggesting non-anger in that regard.

Anybody's permitted to speak here, unless they behave like complete asses.

Keep in mind that where the community is hosted does affect it. Lemmy.world, where both you and this community are hosted, has good moderation, so don't worry.

On lemmy.ml, it is forbidden to say that there is something wrong about genociding Uyghurs or Lenin, and you might get your comments removed or yourself banned if you break that rule there. Similarly, there have been situations elsewhere where you are not allowed to talk bad about genociding Palestinians.

But if you encounter that kind of trouble, just concentrate your activity on communities hosted on instances that are okay with your existence.

I think phrasing what's non-permissible as "like complete asses", though common phrasing, can be affronting here, because the rear is special/welcome within male-homosexuality. Of course it's being used in a figurative sense, though I think it's worth saying because the connotation carries over.

I don't support any genocide. There is the 'first precept' in Buddhism to abstain from killing of any being. I raise awareness for preventing/ceasing widespread killing/harm of animals & nature in general.

Everyone is permitted to speak; however, none are entirely free from the consequences of said speech. Being gay, and being an ethnic minority, is not a problem on Lemmy (most places).

If you do things that bother people, you could be blocked by other users or banned from communities/instances by mods/admins. If you do things that bother the people who run your instance, they can ban you from the instance, which effectively kills your account. You can protect yourself from this by running your own instance. The issue here is, if your instance offends another instance admin, they can de-federate your instance (members your instance and theirs cannot see one another's posts, comments, or communities). Generally they would report you to your instance first, but if they see your instance is just you, they would likely go straight to de-federating you.

This community (Just Post) and the various "Casual Conversation" communities are a good place to do just that. Also, there are a ton of LGBTQ+ communities and users on Lemmy.

I'm ethnically Bahanna, with a side of indeterminacy.

I may re-ask in another post.
