The new layout (17.2 Beta) isn’t great in the UK (alien.top)

Saw the clip in this sub of 17.2 in action so thought I’d give it a go myself. Unfortunately in the UK, our services and tv providers don’t integrate with the Apple TV app in the same way they do across the pond making this update a big let down. It just feels clunky using it without the benefit of a sidebar full of your apps and subscriptions. Hoping they tweak this further or change the way apps integrate into the TV app at least

What tv providers don’t integrate with the tv app? I can only think of Netflix

Im no expert on things like this but I don’t understand why UK doesn’t have anything for the tv channel in settings, even Ireland does To me if the freeview channels appeared in this for the Apple TV it would make it far more usable for the UK Hate the having to go into each app separately to watch live tv for that app It’s crazy and drives people down the IPTV route

Also why BBC can’t do the UHD on iPlayer app when it does it on android (doesn’t matter on formats they are big enough to run more than one!) when we pay for licence is beyond me
