Latest hobby is photography, I had a camera for Christmas after not having a camera with interchangeable lenses in decades. I like that it gets me out the house as like nature/landscape/train photography.

Long standing hobbies are mechanical keyboards and coffee, espresso and pour over.

Keyboards I have really slowed down my purchases to just two or three new keyboards each year.

Coffee I have not purchased anything other than beans in a long time, but I still want to upgrade my espresso machine (marax) at some point.

Constructed languages, ham radio, homelabbing though that’s more my job now.

Megagames!

They're a cross between role playing games and board games, for many players (30-50 or higher, my max is 250). Watch this video if you want to know more: https://youtu.be/hN71v9H_gg8

This is my jam. I'll be exhausted but there's so much going on, it's insane. They're 1 day events, and having a beer with the other players afterwards is where loads more stories come out. I've done serious crisis simulation, whimsical fantasy games, historical games, war games, and all kinds of games in between. If this appeals to you, there's a calendar of upcoming games here https://www.megagameassembly.com/megagame-calendar

I like to say I'm a musician and a game developer, but it's been so long since I've seriously participated in either that I don't think I deserve to describe myself as such right now.

I enjoy languages, which I do actively study unprofessionally.

Aside from my actual day job, I spend most of my time playing whichever single game I'm hyperfocusing on at the moment, although I would rather be doing one of the aforementioned hobbies.

Video games. Very, very challenging video games that don't require co-op... I'm currently mostly maining rhythm games, but had several years where I hyperfixated on roguelikes as well
