So I’m currently on vacation in a village for my college project. One thing I quickly learned is that there are bulls everywhere. And not cute, calm cows. I mean massive, intimidating 6-foot bulls that look like they could personally escort you to Yamraj.
Anyway, this evening I went out to get tea because I’m a tea-loving girl and functioning without evening chai is simply not an option. I found a small shop that sells tea with chips. Perfect combo.
So I’m sitting outside the shop, happily sipping my tea, eating chips, and chatting with the villagers. I’m completely immersed in the gossip and my snacks when suddenly I feel a strong nudge from behind.
Now I’m instantly annoyed because that nudge made me spill my tea everywhere. I was ready to turn around and yell at whoever dared interrupt my peaceful chai time.
But the moment I turned around…
I went full scarecrow mode.
Eyes wide.
Mouth open.
Both arms stretched out horizontally.
Tea in one hand. Chips in the other.
Because behind me was a massive bull.
In that moment I genuinely thought, “Well… this is it. Yamraj is on his way.”
But apparently the bull had different priorities.
Before I could even process what was happening, this 6-foot beast calmly grabbed my packet of chips right out of my hand.
Not my life.
My chips.
He then sat down next to me, the chip packet dangling from his mouth, slowly emptied the entire thing onto the road, and started chomping away like he owned the place.
I just stood there in complete shock watching him eat MY chips.
When he was done, he looked me straight in the eyes, gave what I swear was a sarcastic little smile, and then just… laid down and dozed off.
Like he didn’t just rob me in broad daylight.
I went out for tea.
Got mugged by a bull.
Lost my chips.
