Spiders are so cute. Most of them don't care for us, and house spiders are even friends that keep insects away.
… we’re gonna have to disagree on the cute bit, but, generally they’re awesome roommates.

The eight eyes makes sense since they're for different ranges. Close-up web work vs. surveying the area for butt-roping.
Cats have two oversized eyes, so they can see clearly at distance but not up close, where they depend on smell and tactile stimulus to chew on prey.
We do have butt ropes, they're just addons, not built-in
