Hi!

I am a first time parent. And I have a spare Apple Watch. Is it okay if I use Apple Watch for baby health monitoring? Like specially to track baby's sleep quality and heart rate at night?

Anyone tried this before?

TIA!

Get an actual device that is meant for monitoring your baby.

NO!! Are you crazy? Get an Owlet baby monitor.

There are a bunch of products better suited for this like Owlet you may want to research. I don’t have personal experience with them but they’d be a better choice than an Apple Watch.

No.

It not designed for use by any under the early teens at all and most of the health sensors are calibrated for adults.

It would be better to use any one of the numerous purpose built newborn vitals monitors. They’re available from multiple stores and sites.

And HOW did you want to attach it to the baby, i am wondering…

Sleep quality also assumes an adult. Babies are like a washer on spin. Non stop movement that would make you think they hadn’t slept.
