I don't have the RAM to pocketmax.

[–] Jilanico@lemmy.world 34 points 3 weeks ago

Then resign yourself to the shame of being pocketmogged πŸ—Ώ

[–] MissesAutumnRains@lemmy.blahaj.zone 46 points 3 weeks ago (3 children)

This look rules so hard. I would absolutely dress like this if I had the money.

[–] real_squids@sopuli.xyz 25 points 3 weeks ago (4 children)

I would dress like this if I didn't have two black and white cats (my lint roller usage is through the roof already)

[–] Jilanico@lemmy.world 57 points 3 weeks ago (6 children)

Would lunarcore fashion solve that issue?

[–] wizblizz@lemmy.world 15 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

Unironically love this. There more of it somewhere?

AliExpress has a shitton of cyberpunk-y clothes like that. Some stuff on the cheaper side can look worse than on the photo, but if you check reviews with photos, you can get yourself a decent outft.
The other thing is sizing - again, look for reviews where people write something like: "I weigh this and my height is that and it fits ok [ordered XL]”

At first glance, the thumbnail made it look like they have a torpedo level as part of their outfit.

What has it got in its pocketses, precious?

pack-mule chic

If you pull the ripcord, does the parachute pop out?

I am the darkness... the darkness requires storage...

When you equip this outfit:

  • Carrying capacity +2
  • Dexterity -1
  • Stealth -1
  • Bludgeoning resistance +1
  • Special effects: vampire wannabe: +1 Charisma with vampire thralls, -1 Charisma with actual vampires
[–] Zorque@lemmy.world 9 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

Rob Liefeld was a consultant. Fortunately they got someone else for the shoes.

Good god, with that fork angle it must have like twenty meters turning radius.

But can it akira slide???

[–] hamid@crazypeople.online 23 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I live in a place that is regularly over 38c

I actually like it, I never deal with freezing temperatures though now I'm cold when it drops below 20 haha. I don't do like outside labor during the day and have a brick home so it isn't so bad

[–] felixwhynot@lemmy.world 22 points 3 weeks ago

Good pic and decent fit, perhaps a bit uninspired since the fit seems to be 90% FOTU brand. I would like to see a bit more personality. More punk in the cyberpunk pls

[–] Etterra@discuss.online 21 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

He looks like that weird guy in an anime. You know the one. The weird weird one.

[–] usualsuspect191@lemmy.ca 20 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I really like it, but it's a bit funny that the pockets must be stuffed with something light to achieve the look, defeating the functionally of all those pockets.

[–] Sergio@piefed.social 21 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

Solution is simple: stuff pockets with cotton candy, and then if you want to put something in the pockets, just eat the candy.

No, I couldn’t.

My gut is too big.

And I’d be snagging little bits of that outfit on every little protruding item I walked by.

[–] NaibofTabr 9 points 3 weeks ago

There are at least 4 straps 20cm or longer just hanging loose. This outfit is a hazard. You'd be lucky to walk through a doorway without getting caught on something.

[–] h3ll3rsh4nks@ani.social 9 points 3 weeks ago (6 children)

Yeah sadly streetwear/cyberwear just didn't work for those of us of the thick persuasion

Sorry I'm not a Netrunner. Also stop trying to make cyberpunk happen, by god let's not make it happen

[–] Wizard_Pope@lemmy.world 11 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

It feels like it already is happening.

[–] architect@thelemmy.club 12 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Everything but the cool shit like this outfit. It’s cyberpunk in sweatpants ffs.

Reminds me of the Hong Kong resistance archers.

Hey, my brother has those pants.

I have a weird relationship to tech wear. I like it, but it doesn't really match my style. And Fabric of the Universe charges crazy shipping to Europe.

[–] tanisnikana@lemmy.world 12 points 3 weeks ago (8 children)

That’s actually what really frustrates me with Fabric of the Universeβ€”all their designs look so damn good, until they put their logo and name on everything ever, breaking any sort of immersion and diegetics.

This outfit looks functional but i would argue that in fact it isn't, it doesn't really serve a purpose other than look cool which means that once it stop being cool it ends up in a trash can.

[–] __Lost__@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 3 weeks ago (5 children)

They're clothes. What other function do you want them to perform?

[–] knatschus@discuss.tchncs.de 16 points 3 weeks ago

Protection from the environment and providing accessible storage space mostly

[–] Drasglaf@sopuli.xyz 10 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

My clothes often serve as cat beds.

Like, in Minneapolis, or other places?

[–] sen@lemmy.zip 9 points 3 weeks ago (4 children)

But it looks like repurposed reusable grocery bags and it would snag on every doorknob.

Also those shoes for whatever reason look like bags roughly toed to feet because you couldn't afford shoes. This shit does not look comfy.

Yeah yeah then the hot snakes start coming and you're clink clanking your way to the shitter dropping spaghetti everywhere

No thank you

I prefer freeballing a kilt for this exact reason

My goal is to have all my clothes be various shades of near-black gray. But relatives keep gifting me clothes of assorted colors, and I'm too poor not to wear those. Thankfully I have at least steered the folks in the direction of mostly gray and, bafflingly, swamp green.

Dress for the cyberpunk dystopia you want, not the one you have!
