Honestly, our coaching staff is ridiculously bad. Their philosophy is "We're going to do X every single time. If it works, it works; if it doesn't, it doesn't. Fuck gameplanning for specific opponents."

I excuse last season cuz the roster got stripped down to the studs and the players looked in engaged and fundamentals looked stronger (we went from not being able to tackle/discipline issues during Nagys last year to looking a lot better in the department). Many wins couldn't have been expected.

However, this year is inexcusable. I wasn't expecting a playoff run. I wanted 6-7 wins assuming the improvement shown last year would be built upon. Not only do we probably win MAYBE 3 games this year, but there's been multiple games where the team just looks wildly unprepared for their opponent. I mean, incredibly incompetent. Neither side looks like they properly game planned for the teams they're facing. Fundamentals and discipline have gone back into the tank. It's just awful all around to the point I'm not invested in the games to really care. I'm just watching to see if there are improvements in play from the different groups.

Eberflus is not getting fired mid season. There's no one to replace him and theres currently not even a DC. Poles will stay, fire Eberflus and Getsy and probably most of the staff (special teams coach has been the only solid) and hopefully hire an experienced HC (at this point I don't even wanna try the coordinator to coach experiment) with connections that's gonna put together a good staff. Then go into the draft with two top 5 picks hopefully and let the coach pick his guys. See what can be spent in FA and put this team in position to actually compete.

This is the equivalent of an MLB team skipping the other team's Aces and then believing they are good because they lit up the #4, #5 and #6 starters.

The guy looked strung out last night. He’s mentally done imo, can’t wait for the season to be over. He knows hes gone and can’t wait, the stress has won. Poor guy. I’ve been in toxic work situations, it takes a toll.

The fact that the Bears had three timeouts with over 2 minutes left and waived the white flag letting the clock run down without even using a single timeout really grinded my gears. Play until the last fucking second you coward. Put in backups if you don’t want the starters getting injured but don’t just give up like that. What sort of message does that send to the rest of the team?
