Lyme disease is the lesser problem. Where I live, a large amount of ticks carry a virus that causes encephalitis. Luckily I'm vaccinated against it, but many people aren't.

Not just any tick, but THE Tick. Spoon, motherfuckers...

If the ticks didn't get me, my allergies would.

Just take a shower afterwards

[–] BautAufWasEuchAufbaut@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Idk if that's serious, but that doesn't help with ticks

[–] Lux@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Yes it does? It doesn't directly remove them, but it does allow you to see them and remove them yourself

[–] BautAufWasEuchAufbaut@lemmy.blahaj.zone 0 points 2 years ago (1 children)

OK but like the shower doesn't really contribute then

[–] Lux@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Oh, would you rather drop the ticks you remove on the floor?

Uuuh... no? Like they are dead then, so the trash I guess?

ticks scare me more than any giant tarantula ever would
