Certain links are sketch and make most not want to click them. We all know Zillow, Realtor, Redfin et al, and even foreign realtor links look 'real' at a cursory glance, like rightmove.co.uk or remax.eu. Short URL's look like they could lead to malware, and if the sub (which is very popular!) gets used to clicking on shorturl's willy-nilly, like share.google, bitly, tinyurl etc we might start stepping into malware bombs.
For the mods: Blocking Specific Domains (to ban sketchy realtor sites, shorteners, etc.)
Go to the subreddit โ Click Mod Tools (top-right or sidebar).
Select Content controls (under Community settings or Moderation section).
Find Require or ban links from specific domains like "bitly"
There's a setting to limit how often the exact same link can be posted.
In the same Mod Tools โ Content controls area.
Look for Restrict how often the same link can be posted (or "Repost frequency"/"Link repost restriction").
Toggle it on.
Set the time period: Enter 180 days (for ~6 months).
This will prevent everyone from accidentally posting the same listing that has already been posted a million times, which is helpful to us all (I know I have reposted by accident because I was too excited to run a proper sub-search!)
