Is it possible to make the bar outline behind the bottom 4 apps disappear? (alien.top)

Not really sure what it's called but that grey rectangle that the bottom 4 home apps sit in drives me nuts, is there a way to make it disappear or at least transparent instead of blurry? Thank you
