Libright Robin Hood:

  • Actually a rich noble

  • Sells the goods he steals

  • Cutthroat competition with other (but legal, unlike him) merchant competition

  • Competes and wins an archery contest for a massive prize that he doesn't actually need (numbers go up)

  • Eventually uses corruption in the government to escape all consequences of his lawbreaking

The "true king" Richard the Lionheart bankrupted the country for his Crusades in the Middle East. Prince John tried to keep the country financially stable while his older brother was away playing soldier.
