Man, as a person that started watching the NFL in the early 80's I would not have become such a big football when I was younger if I grew up having to watch this version and era of NFL football.
Not only are the rules confusing and the officiating is terrible but the game has lost many of the very aspects that made it America's new favorite pastime and number 1 dominate sport.
Defense is only reason this game is this close

- Refs fuck up the fumble OOB call and it costs us 10 seconds.
- Our QB gets murdered on TV and no flag is thrown even though it was way worse than the RTP call for Trevor.
- That also costs us our TO even though the Jags caused it.
- Offsides on the offensive line

Idk how they spend 3+ minutes on this qb scramble/fumble spot of the ball but don’t throw a rtp flag. It’s stuff like that which make people hate the refs. The spot doesn’t really matter, nothing really changed other than 10 seconds off the clock.
