An unofficial chapter of the popular Dull Men's Club.

https://dullmensclub.com/

1. Relevant commentary on your own dull life. Posts should be about your own dull, lived experience. This is our most important rule. Direct questions, random thoughts, comment baiting, advice seeking, many uses of "discuss" rarely comply with this rule.

2. Original, Fresh, Meaningful Content.

3. Avoid repetitive topics.

4. This is not a search engine
Use a search engine, a tradesperson, Reddit, friends, a specialist Facebook group, apps, Wikipedia, an AI chat, a reverse image search etc. to answer simple questions or identify objects. Also see rule 1, “comment baiting”.

There are a number of content specific communities with subject matter experts who can help you.

Some other communities to consider before posting:

5. Keep it dull. If it puts us to sleep, it’s on the right track. Examples of likely not dull: jokes, gross stuff (including toes), politics, religion, royalty, illness or injury, killing things for fun, or promotional content. Feel free to post these elsewhere.

6. No hate speech, sexism, or bullying No sexism, hate speech, degrading or excessively foul language, or other harmful language. No othering or dehumanizing of anyone or negativity towards any gender identity.

7. Proofread before posting. Use good grammar and punctuation. Avoid useless phrases. Some examples: - starting a post with "So" - starting a post with pointless phrases, like "I hope this is allowed" or “this is my first post” Only share good quality, cropped images. Do not share screenshots of images; share the original image.

"You're right, no human being would stack carrots like that."

[–] idunnololz@lemmy.world 20 points 1 month ago (1 children)

They are stacked in a criss-cross pattern because it's more stable however it makes it harder to get a piece of carrot so it's only done on the two ends with the carrots stacked in a pile in the center. This way I have the best of both worlds. Don't ask me where I learned this technique. /s

But that one is Jayden’s, I want my own jenga.

[–] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 8 points 1 month ago

Those certainly are some fine chopped carrots. Yep, if I were looking to snack on a carrot, this is where I'd turn.

Actually, let me get a carrot stick. I want to snack on a finely chopped carrot. So this is where I turn!

Lincoln Logs man. Build the cabin you always dreamed of… then eat it.

[–] TaterTot@piefed.social 7 points 1 month ago

I'm rich, I buy the bags of "baby" carrots. But, I'm not rich enough to afford the vegetable trays with the little bit of ranch in the middle.

[–] idunnololz@lemmy.world 9 points 1 month ago

I buy carrots by the bag whenever I want to use them for cooking but they come with too many so I usually turn the leftovers into sticks and eat them as a snack.

[–] lasta@piefed.world 6 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Do you compete for them in carrot jenga?

Sliced carrots are a good snack though. I use them with hummus and other dips :)

[–] idunnololz@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

They are a great snack!

[–] Tikiporch@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

I understand this reference.
