HEIC files - is the data legit (alien.top)

So I received some sexy pics from my GF and when I saved it to my camera roll (both have iPhones) the data on the HEIC says that she took it at a particular time on a particular day. (20th January 2023). She has sent other pics as well previously and when I saved them, some go all the way back to 2015 which I can understand. My issue is, with these sexy pics she told me that they were “old pics” but if that was the case, why would they be showing the time and date she took them being 20 January 2023? If they were old pics shouldn’t they go back to when she actually took them

If the images were edited using apps other than the default photos app and then exported to the camera roll, it can sometimes cause the date to be overwritten with the date the image was exported.
