To add to this, the bigortry is only to mollify a third of the country who are fanatically adhered to the idea thatthe ruling class is perfect and everyone else is bad. The real reason they're doing it is so they can create a racket themselves like the one they're describing. My small business got nailed when they claimed there was a bunch of fraud and handed off VA payment processing from the VA themselves to an unregulated mafia called "Triwest." Triwest's job is to lose invoices and keep the money the VA gave them to give to service providers. They have friends who want this business and want to run a con while the feds look the other way.
All federal money has been pilfered by Trump and his oligarch buddies.

MAGA are actively and purposedly cruel: they go out of their way to hurt people even when there is no point in doing so, or no money to be made. With MAGA, the cruelty is the point.
