Super Mario Run on the iPhone. I won’t buy it until it goes on sale and, since it’s Nintendo, it’ll never go on sale.
Patient Gamers
A gaming community free from the hype and oversaturation of current releases, catering to gamers who wait at least 12 months after release to play a game. Whether it's price, waiting for bugs/issues to be patched, DLC to be released, don't meet the system requirements, or just haven't had the time to keep up with the latest releases.
Well, when I get gta 6 that will probably take the cake. I dont have a ps5 yet, and money is tight ish, so no rush for me. I know the game has diminishing returns for an old head like me, but fuck I love that franchise. I literally started with overhead view, pixelated, pc version (one or two?) , playing 1v1 (occasionally 2vcomp) with a high school buddy with cracked version on dial up.
Too date tho.... iv gotten some great steam deals, but thats cause i put everything on the want list and grab a sale when that game suits my mood. Specifically waiting tho, thats harder. Maybe wii era mario, i waited for the wii to be cheaper, but paid almost full price for mario galaxy.
Elden Ring. Every time I get close to buying it, something else has a better sale. One of these days though...
I want to grab mgsv when it drops below $20. $20 for a 2015 title feels a bit steep.
The Last Night
I heard about it because it had music by Lorn. It looked cool. Cyberpunk pixelart aesthetic. 'Post-cyberpunk' concept. Then there was some twitter drama about something the creator said in a tweet years before that maybe indicated some unsavory views which they immediately disavowed. They said they were still working on it ~5 years later, which was ~5 years ago. The game remains unreleased.
There's also 'What Lives Below.' I don't know what happened with it. Wishlisted it after it was announced, but haven't heard anything since. It might have died in the womb, as it were.
