Apple gave me an iPhone for the price of a repair ? (alien.top)

Is this standard or did I get lucky ? I brought in my phone to get the battery replaced and was told that while fixing it they accidentally stripped the screws. The genius offered me a brand new iPhone for the price of a battery repair. My phone has never had apple care and is out of warranty.

It’s cheaper and better PR for them in end so they do it quite often.

I went in with my iMac and I replaced the logic board and I took it home. Same problem arose. I took it back — about a week later I got a call. You can fume pick up your new iMac. They gave me a new tip of the line outfitted better than my iMac. There was no explanation other than they decided to do this. I think they broke my old one
