Odds that this was motivated by being told off for offering starlink to Gaza?

very high he more or less acts like a child desperate for attention

if he throws a tantrum against the military industrial complex I'm all for it

[–] kristina@hexbear.net 14 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Literally a cynical take on his part. Probably saw the map of countries supporting Gaza and realized they have more people to potentially worship him

[–] usernamesaredifficul@hexbear.net 24 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I don't think it's calculated I think he's just really dumb and this is him throwing a tantrum because he isn't getting enough attention

if the twitter fiasco proved anything it's that we shouldn't assume he's playing 4d chess

[–] invalidusernamelol@hexbear.net 9 points 2 years ago

He's being contrarian because no press is bad press.

[–] Gucci_Minh@hexbear.net 9 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Maybe China is twisting his balls and telling him to strategically shitpost or they shut down his Tesla factory

[–] usernamesaredifficul@hexbear.net 29 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

I don't think the Chinese state would do that because they are actual adults busy running a country

I don't think the Chinese even view twitter as a vital part of running a nation

[–] ProletarianDictator@hexbear.net 13 points 2 years ago (1 children)

The adults in the room who get shit done, but Chinese

[–] invalidusernamelol@hexbear.net 23 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

That is legitimately what China is. They have 2 year, 5 year, 10 year, 20 year, 50 year, and 100 year plans that they're working on. Meanwhile the US is spending its 1 year plan undoing the work of the previous 1 year plan.

inb4 libs use this as more evidence of horseshoe theory

[–] the_kid@hexbear.net 38 points 2 years ago (1 children)

my Fox News dad posted this same pic a few weeks ago, idk what's going on

[–] SuperZutsuki@hexbear.net 56 points 2 years ago

Democrat is president > military is woke > chuds side with enemies of the state

[–] MF_COOM@hexbear.net 46 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Does he know what irony is?

[–] Yurt_Owl@hexbear.net 70 points 2 years ago (2 children)

The irony is him posting this meme but also wanting to coup Bolivia for their lithium

[–] Lovely_sombrero@hexbear.net 39 points 2 years ago

And using the version of the meme where someone added extra US military bases that don't exist, so that libs and conservatives can dismiss the meme's intentions because "it is inaccurate".

If Elon wants to sell more electric cars, alienating the US from Gulf states and making oil prices skyrocket would be good for him.

I like that it doesn't work regardless of how you pronounce Iran.

[–] Elon_Musk@hexbear.net 30 points 2 years ago

Oh the Irany ...

[–] culpritus@hexbear.net 28 points 2 years ago

I wonder if South Africa supporting Palestine has tipped his brain a bit. If he disagrees it would perhaps be too much cognitive dissonance even for him?

[–] 2Password2Remember@hexbear.net 23 points 2 years ago

really hope I love to see the real life version of the millennium challenge tbh, that would be so funny

Death to America

Interesting...

[–] indigobox@lemm.ee 3 points 2 years ago (16 children)

This is great, he's standing up to the military industrial complex.

Why are so many comments here pro military, shill bots?

[–] egg1918@hexbear.net 58 points 2 years ago (1 children)

He is the military industrial complex. Where do you think SpaceX gets all its contracts from?

[–] Catradora_Stalinism@hexbear.net 35 points 2 years ago

heard this in parenti's voice because of the pfp lol

[–] SexUnderSocialism@hexbear.net 54 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

Please tell me you're not this stupid. People here make fun of him because he's a hypocrite who says anything whenever it suits him at any given moment. He's the same guy who was in favor of a military coup in Bolivia when it personally benefited him, among plenty of other cases where he directly supports the military. If you truly think Elon gives a crap about standing up to the "military industrial complex", then you're delusional. Also, where are these pro military comments? Anything I don't like or understand is because of "shill bots". funny-clown-hammer

[–] indigobox@lemm.ee 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Well this comment definitely isn't pro military.

There's loads of pro military comments in here.

Why does calling out hypocrisy and contradictions automatically mean we are against the specific post's message?

[–] GarbageShoot@hexbear.net 12 points 2 years ago (1 children)

A throwaway post of a well-circulated meme is not "standing up to" anything. If he wanted to stand up to the MIC, he could try not being a part of it

[–] indigobox@lemm.ee 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

This comment is certainly not supporting military action

[–] GarbageShoot@hexbear.net 1 points 2 years ago

I agree. It's doing nothing.
