i had a 11yo account banned, although i dint use it for a long time, because i forgot i only found out because reddit was to massive purges at the time. with thier AI, they found almost all the accounts, and this probably happening to other people too. they retroactively ban people thats why the purges were so pervasive, plus they also apparently ignored the "wait how long before you can comment in a subreddit after getting banned" unofficial rule too.
Reddit Was Fun
Memorial to "rif is fun for Reddit" Android app, aka "reddit is fun", shut down after June 30, 2023
I was just permabanned for calling Ann Coulter racist, because I "promoted identity-based hate or attacks." Because apparently saying racism is bad is... Bad. After I appealed this obviously wrongful ban, I was permabanned again for literally no reason. When I appealed that ban, they swiftly responded saying my appeal will not be granted, without ever saying what rule I even broke.
14 years down the fuckin drain. The biggest thing keeping me on this mortal coil is the promise that one day I will read Steve Huffman's obituary
Got my first ban for saying someone was doing something to keep criminals out of the store (in a white community, btw) and they said it was racists against black people and banned me, then autobans from other communities that mod was a mod of hit me. I repealed it asking for any sign of racism, or indeed racism in any of my long post history...they muted me, and blocked me. Reddit is trash. And yes, you can ban evade there, I do it to troll those communities and just be a trash person to give the mod more work. Look up the reddit anti-banevasion tech they use. If you want to make a hobby of bot-spamming their crap with clanker slop posts... hypothetically.
Your only mistake was not being banned 19 years sooner.
