There is a power vacuum on the right, since both of Canada's right wing parties have abandoned right wing principles to chase Trumps tail. Which means the LPC can drift right, and there is no alternative for those on the left to vote for, while the CPC's media machine can gaslight enough moderates that if the LPC drifts left, they can make the CPC seem like good old fashioned common sense conservatives of 20 years ago.

It sucks.

We need a functional federal NDP party to keep Liberals from drifting too far right.

Well at least we knew that's the bargain. It was never gonna be a win for working Canadians over Canadian corporations. It was always gonna be a fight between Canadian and US corporations, and hopefully having ours come on top a bit more than usual.
