Unrelated but I like that GunZ The Duel is not only old enough to drink in the US, but that the private servers have outlived both the original game, it disappointing sequel, and countless AAA productions over the years. Whole genres have come and gone, with billions spent chasing whatever the new hotness is, while some privately-run upcycled office workstations have faithfully served thousands of hardcore gamers for decades.
Some games just don't die.
I still remember my rather embarrassing attempts at learning K-Style back in the day. I learned a tiny bit, enough to actually have an advantage against the pray-and-sprayers that didn't yet know about it, but I was absolutely trash against any experienced player.
Was a blast though, part of me is tempted to check it out again, but I imagine there's fewer noobs to practice against and it's mostly more skilled players now.
Someone bought the rights and put it on steam. Uses EAC and blocks Linux currently. Some weird stuff about it... But when that releases, there may be some fresh blood

Yup. My work here is done.
Tribes never really died. It's too good. Pretty sure every single one has a way to continue playing them online; even Ascend and the extremely short-lived 3 as well as the PS2 exclusive one.
It really is. I wish I had time to play, I'd be there.
