I moved to the Netherlands ~6 months ago. It is really that good. But Dutch people don't value what they have and many are becoming carbrained assholes. Endless government funding for highways and roads, but less for public transit. People driving 400m instead of walking. It's disappointing to watch the Dutch be brainwashed by car advertising.
Fuck Cars

Car brain is a natural result of colonialism, imperialism, white supremacy, etc.
Privileged YTs are basically the same regardless of the state that controls them.
That is so disheartening to hear.
A long time ago, I was in an apartment that had a bike trail with only one road crossing it at one point.
I could get to work, get groceries, and a couple of other things all from my bike. It was an awesome 2 years. I would put on my headphones and in 10 minutes get to where I wanted to go without any of the issues car drivers have.
Im jealous of people that have that but for their entire city.
Australia here, I have separated bike paths from right near my house into the city (downtown). That's 11km without encountering a car. It's great!
It's not just transit. We're denied health care, clean air, clean water, food, etc.
Capitalism screws everybody. It's literally destroying the planet and murdering humanity. USA is the leader.
