They should do it either way. God knows what data is collected and where it ends up, that's on top of possible software restrictions

Shouldn't be too hard. You'd probably be better off just writing your own, tbh. Defense firms in the US tend to scrape the absolute bottom of the barrel or hire dead weight from the good ole boys network when they need engineers or software devs
