The courts are doing their job, it's the enforcement side that's lax. As usual. Police exist to protect the rich from the poor.
If you've ever found yourself benefiting from some type of police protection, it's only because they think whoever they are protecting you from is considerably poorer than you.
I'm not a lawyer nor am I by any means anything remotely close to a legal expert but I'm pretty sure in order for things to be illegal you actually have to enforce them. Seems like the US has forgotten how to do this...oh who am I kidding they've never enforced punishment on any illegal acts for the wealthy or those in power.
We know this. we have known this. If you're rich and/or powerful enough the laws just don't apply to you. No one is going to enforce laws on the DHS for fear or repercussions. that's it. And no one is willing to even try it. Just look at that whole Bondi fiasco from this past week.
"What they did was illegal, what she said should be contempt!"
"ok, so lock them up then"
"wha? me? I don't want to die..."
Exactly. MAGA 100% operates on the premise that anything you get away with is legal. -ish. Good enough.
You want them to stop? Rule against them, then charge them with Contempt if they violate the ruling, and IMPRISON THEM.
