I don't have the theme soap, but I've got the brand. It also has 50% of the scent notes of the theme soap (menthol), but that doesn't matter this year.

Went with Vespers today because it's been very warm here in Minneapolis! So I wanted to use it once more while there's still some snow and feels a bit wintry.
SOTD - 2026-02-14
Pretty good shave, not quite as nice as my last two. Taking down 6 days of growth. First pass WTG second pass XTG. I think I didn't have the lather dialed in quite as well today. I got a little bit of irritation in all the problem areas :( pretty close though...
Also maybe my technique sucked today. I'm distracted because I had a wisdom tooth pulled yesterday. Deton-8 helps me to feel better.
Edit: it seems my left side is much better than my right side...
Today's challenge soap is Barrister and Mann - Arctique. I don't have Arctique, but am happy to use Paganini's Violin instead. It's been too long since I've pulled this one out.
I'm pretty sure there's no way for me to match tomorrow's scent, so today my run ends. TBD whether I join TLC or just go back to killing some soaps. I'm leaning toward the latter.
This razor gave a comfortable two pass shave this morning, though the results were not as close as I'd prefer. I'm still learning how to best approach using this razor. The geometry feels quite different from my other, hollow ground razors. Almost like I need to come in at a steeper angle. More experimentation required!

A shave and a haircut from the lady barber today. I'm going for an extra shave later in the day to stay ASS out, TLC in. I don't want to find out about the second-tier losers club. :)
