Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Does he have any high windows?

Donvict really is running a crime family.

I wonder if RICO cannot be used against Republicans as well as all of Pedonald's family. Assuming we get any semblance of sanity back.

We are at war.

I do not agree with Massie on most issues, and a NUMBER of the psychos who went full-time on Trump, but this dude is doing his fucking job and calling shit out.

He needs to be protected, and OUR rights to do what he's doing in the face of threats should also be protected.

I will also say that Massie has crossed the aisle on more things than just Epstein, and SHOCKINGLY Rand Paul. If they've developed a consistent consciousness to protect the survivors, then they should be supported and protected as far as that goes.

I will say that Massie and Khanna just outed BILLIONAIRE proponents in the Epstein files who certainly have the means to have these people killed quietly and disappeared.

Do not let this happen.

Who are the billionaires that Massie and Khanna just outed?

Massie was and is extremely wrong about many issues IMO, but I'll be damned if his backbone on this hasn't given me some satisfaction. I guess being a bullheaded libertarian who sincerely believes in your principles can be an advantage when your naysayers are straight up hypocrites defending child-raping billionaires.

I'd take any allies I could get in this battle.

We don't have to agree with every politician on everything. We don't even have to agree with our chosen aligned parties on everything.

We do have to support politicians that are protecting the interests of Americans.

I don't agree with him either, but he is principaled which is the very least we can ask of any politician, especially a republican.

USA government is already executing citizens in plain sight. Why kill this guy and make it look like a suicide when they can literally hang him in front of the white house and nothing will happen?

I just hope that the many movies and tv shows made in about 10-20 years about this time period will be well written and well produced. This is really unprecedented times we're living in, and history will not look kindly on these perps

[–] Hideakikarate@sh.itjust.works 6 points 13 hours ago (2 children)

History is written by the victors. I'm very curious to see how this period will be taught in schools for the next generations.

[–] zd9@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago

Sure, but the world is interconnected enough now that there will always be information preserved by the losers. Also the international community (both friend and foe) will have written histories on the US as well.

[–] Blade9732@lemmy.world 7 points 13 hours ago

I am hoping it will be described as the lead up to the new Nuremberg trials.

[–] TheFogan@programming.dev 10 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

Also I do have to worry quite a bit, Didn't both epstien, and one of his victims make very similar statements, before they supposedly killed themselves. Admitted I guess with more public visibility that MTG and Massie have when they did theirs, and the much increased attention of the public on the matter, it should be impossible to kill either of them without multiplying the public suspision by a factor of 100.

[–] redsand 2 points 2 hours ago

This ring may have been found in the Franklin Scandal in 88 and they killed like a dosen people possibly including a former CIA director.

[–] Zier@fedia.io 3 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

They won't kill him off, they can't afford to lose any of the GOP. The Democrats will have a majority if they do.

[–] daannii@lemmy.world 5 points 11 hours ago

Idk. The gop might try to make an example of him to keep the others in line.
