I love articles like this, that make me think about things in new ways. Of course Word templates changed the norms of business communication. How could they not? Yet that never would have occurred to me if I hadn't read this.

Trust the BBC to call them out on Americanizing and homogenizing language globally, too. (Did you notice the American spellings in the last sentence?)
