Putin isn't even a steward of communism, so it's a bit confusing what the animation intends to mean, but I could get how it might feel like Putin is a strong-man standing up against the West in bold ways ... I'm just skeptical he has much regard or concern for his own people or that his motives are even remotely overlapping with the goals of communism.
I mean, the original video is pretty old, at least 10 years. Original got deleted, if anyone remember the exact date we could understand more the historical context like some kind of archaeologists.
If you're talking about the original animated video, it is still up. It was made in 2013.

Ohhh okay, I didn't know the Rasputin edit had been taken down and reuploaded. I remember coming across it years ago, probably like 2016 or so.
I take his presence as more of a call out to the sort of propaganda meant to build him up as a hero of the people. Not unlike some AI slop splattered nonsense seen in the West.
Edit: That being said, still a banger.
He really didn't die after being shot, stabbed, hanged, drowned, set on fire, and poisoned. He just became a cat. Or he was always a cat and still has about 3 or 4 lives out of 9 left... 🤔
