Self-professed misogynist influencer Andrew Tate believes reading is for people with “slow brains,” according to a recent resurfaced clip of him on X. In the video, Tate is seen bragging that his brain is too advanced for reading and that he’d rather be in constant chaos.

“I’m too smart to read. I know you’re sitting there going ‘smart people read’... no. I need action. I need constant chaos in my life to feel content. I need to be driving a supercar and f—ing fighting, f—ing a bunch of hoes and champagne… going crazy.”

Too smart to live, too, but too dumb to die.

im pretty sure you dont need to emphasize you are woman hater, your action speaks louder than words.

Projection as usual with this putz. Books remind him of how slowly his brain works, so he assumes that is everyone's experience with them.

That would be the same Andrew Tate who made his money getting punched and kicked in the head, right?

I'm sure his brain is doing just fine.

People bragging about how super smart they are usually lower the population average significantly.

[–] hector@lemmy.today 9 points 5 days ago

These people are just shameless manipulators of the stupid, which is the only form of intelligence our society really respects right now.

Ie, elon musk is a genius, why? Not for doing anything real, but for hyping the value of his stocks beyond any semblance of reason. The president, all the rw influencers, business dickheads, the quality they have that is valued is playing the population, no one cares if it's true, they care if they get enough people to believe it and therefore make money off of it.

Meanwhile people that actually invent stuff, that actually figure stuff out, aren't even celebrated, they are a cog in a machine under one of these confidence men, their contributions attributed to the Musks of the world. Nikola Tesla would not be respected if he was around today, just used and abused by these manipulators that would take all the credit.

Hey fucknut, the Russian Infantry is looking for volunteers for frontline duty. Don't worry, the European NATO members will provide plenty of tungsten for the action you seek.

Isn't that convenient. Yeah well I'm too smart to listen to Andrew Tate so I really can't say.

[–] Alpha71@lemmy.world 9 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago)

It's people like him who make me realize that if I wasn't a good person, (well okay, alright person) I could be rich beyond my wildest dreams.

[–] spittingimage@lemmy.world 12 points 5 days ago (1 children)

How many times has Andrew Tate been kicked in the head during his career? More than he can count to, I'm guessing.

[–] baronvonj@piefed.social 8 points 5 days ago

More than he can count to

at least not without taking his shoes off.

[–] whyNotSquirrel@sh.itjust.works 13 points 5 days ago

Downvoting. Don't feed the trolls, don't make them relevant.

I mean. I can’t read well because I have that double vision thing and dyslexia like a mother fucker o top of my ADHD. I do audio books on long drives tho. They really put me into the story. But he’s just admitting he is misinformed on all matters of life.

[–] Doorbook@lemmy.world 1 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I don't see a correlation between reading book and misinformation.

The reality is, these people often aware of what is going on, and they actively choose to adapt extreme views, because they know what their fans base want to hear. Making them rich.

Their view of the world is simple, the goal justify the means.

I believe these clowns actually believe their own bullshit. Whole heartedly. There is no mask off moment. They are fully deluded.
