This chap was a nice change of pace after painting a rather complex squad. He's simply known as "Lord of the Dredge" and is an early part of the #Mezgike #DredgeMarines range.

I'm particularly pleased with how the static grass turned out.

It probably seems a bit weird that he's on a desert base but my entire terrain collection is desert. Imagine he's emerged from the sea nearby!

Fuckin’ rad! Great work, he looks awesome. Let’s just say it’s a beach.

This lad was done using slapchop - the white armour is literally just Reikland Flesh wash over the top of the primer. I love that it makes it look like the shoulder pads have been done with some finesse when in reality it's just happy coincidence.

The static grass is home made - I bought the applicator for a few quid from AliExpress and dolloped small blobs of PVA glue on some foil and then used the tool to static it up. Chuffed with the result!

Something that comes up occasionally - why are my bases not black rimmed or similar?

The answer being that I joined the hobby with Gorkamorka and third edition 40K. Ork bases looked like this at the time and all my terrain is geared towards it.

That’s really nice work… How long did it take you to do, I used to know somebody who did maquettes like that collected and painted, it is a lot of work for them took them several days of grueling, four or five hour shifts and lots of hand cramps!!
