Maybe that logic flies on some island. Doesn't fly in France.

Go France!

Didn't the guy just sell a massive part of the key French military component manufacturing?

The rest of us need to follow their example

France has tried to be on the right side of this is issue since the 80s, I think. Didn't Charles De Gaulle warn about the dependence on the US?

Yes, but nobody listened to him since at that point he was already transitioning into an airport. Truly a tragic story.

The first transaeroportian known to man.

Same thing happened to JFK, but in a much more gruesome manner. After he got shot what remained of him was mixed into the tarmac at Idlewild and the airport was renamed. If you're quiet on the escalators you can hear JFK screaming and relive his final moments.

I didn't take the time to watch the video. But, him being my president, I can say Macron is kind of a beau-parleur, he'll say anything to be appreciated and/or congratulated. So i will wait to see what actions he takes against us big tech. I have just signed an eko petition against the sale of a vast part of our phone antennas network to a US company, and it's been approved by our finance minister. So ... Macron is the worst hardcore capitalist president France has ever had. Even Sarkozy can't reach his ankle (no pun intended though) when it comes to sell France at the best price.

Will Europe follow?

I am putting my money on a lot more former US allies will move away from US Tech. Norway, Switzerland will likely move with the EU, the UK might as well and i expect the same will be true for south-east Asia. The question is no longer if they will start moving away, but when they will finish.
