Mildly Interesting

This is for strictly mildly interesting material. If it's too interesting, it doesn't belong. If it's not interesting, it doesn't belong.

This is obviously an objective criteria, so the mods are always right. Or maybe mildly right? Ahh.. what do we know?

Just post some stuff and don't spam.

The new Stuart Little movie takes a dark turn.

A photograph called "Station Squabble" by Sam Rowley captures two mice appearing to fight on a London Underground platform. The scene was photographed late at night and quickly drew attention for its timing and realism.

The image went on to win the People's Choice Award at the 2019 edition of Wildlife Photographer of the Year, an international competition hosted by the Natural History Museum in London.

It’s a great photograph, but I can’t help but wonder if the photographer misinterpreted the situation. Perhaps it was more of a Dirty Dancing moment, and they were secretly practicing their routine for the big campground show... 🤔

It appears that they were indeed dancing. 😱

They would sue the photographer for copyright infringement.

How the fuck did you do that? AI?

[–] maniacalmanicmania@aussie.zone 6 points 1 week ago (1 children)

The person you're replying to is a taxidermist. They had some taxidermied mice lying around and after a bit of positioning and a few snaps composited the best shot into the photo OP posted.

Aha. It was AI.

No, I never felt like this before

I feel silly saying it but that is genuinely a ridiculously good photo.

Is this the new Star Wars?

[–] stupidcasey@lemmy.world 7 points 1 week ago

Title should be:

"Politics at the end of the world'

Might not even be over food. Mice are assholes to each other regularly, like cats.

So quiet you hear mice ... Ah, yeah, fighting over food, right.
