Dear Mod Abuse Hotline,

Today, I removed some comments from a user (let's call him "FelixCrass" to safeguard his identity) in another community I moderate (context).

Then, he went and made a mean post about me.

Thank you for your support.

I need to address the situation.

This post has been reported multiple times for rule 1 "no victim abuse" violation. For the time being it will be allowed to remain up, because OP is an abuser who in turn got abused, and honestly I can't be bothered to contemplate the paradox right now.

Can I just say that people need to chill a bit about veganism? Not in terms of real world praxis, I respect that. But in terms of just being so toxic online.

Replace "veganism" in your comment with "antifascism" and I think you'll see why many vegans don't want to chill about it. In the eyes of vegans, farm animals are experiencing a perpetual holocaust

Replace "antifascism" with "cooking fish in the microwave in the break room again" and I think you'll see why I don't want to chill out about Rhonda.

That may well be but does screeching at people on the internet make that holocaust better?

Besides, this was also directed at carnivores who lose their minds at vegans for no reason.

Frankly, the logic applies to fascists too. Like I completely get why people are angry, but is it helping?

Maybe chill is the wrong word. You should stand for your convictions but I still think a lot of the behavior that seems to revolve this topic gets way out of hand.

I know, it seems to be very inciting for some inexplicable reason.

hi i just randomly read your post- it made me immediately think of this: please read https://www.reddit.com/r/AMA/comments/1p7kmbn/i_was_paid_to_discredit_veganism_online_ama/ do you think this could be the same people now trying it on lemmy?

[–] Flatworm7591@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 1 week ago

It wouldn't surprise me to be honest. Thanks for sharing the article.

Of course you would support vegans. A flatworm is too much of a treat for us normal people. You will not be spared.

Keep crying 😂

Just remember to add that you replied to me and immediately banned me to stop replying. You being a mod of "power tripping bastards" is the Monthy Python level of irony.
