I’m so happy that dude gets to do what he loves doing cos he’s a legit wizard. He has been such a wealth of knowledge in my modular synth journey (addiction)

I always feel like he's right on the verge of simultaneously getting crushed by his modular synths falling over, burned alive by the flame shooting module he forgot to leave out, and crashing out because he improved too hard ... yet somehow he always survives to play another day.

Hah I didn’t think of that but now I’m surprised myself. Just all the little accidents I have had with making modules myself scares me enough to never really mess with high voltage, I know I’d end up zapping my heart if I started messing with tubes or something. It’s such an unforgiving hobby to negligence, the fire shooting stuff he does would cause me to burn my house down within the week. It sure is fun watching what he always comes up with though, the fire and the furby organ were mind melting

Love a bit of Sam

I need to get down south to visit his museum at some point

Sam who? I would love to find more as I start my journey with an MPC one plus.

Sam "Look Mum No Computer" Battle. Check out his YouTube channel. I'm pretty sure he has a video that explains his whole modular setup.

The MIDI'd organ alone has me checking the cost of getting to Ramsgate from the US.

His channel is fun

Just here to say this guy rules. He brings that diy/punk ethos to electronic music, makes a bunch of cool projects, and runs a museum of cool gadgets and curiosities. Seems pretty chill too!

We've been to two (or three?) of his gigs, you never know what's going to happen, I really recommend it

*looks inside, sees computer. 😐

Where is the computer? All his stuff is analog circuits. While under certain definitions that is a computer, by most it is not.

He has a whole YouTube channel all about this and it's well worth a watch.

I find it amazing he did not only perform the song live, but absolutely impromptu. They had to look up the lyrics for him and yet the song was awesome.
