Sooner or later, yes. Nobody is immortal.

Now being serious, it’s possible that a considerable portion of the population will die in climate related catastrophes. Famines, droughts, floods, heatwaves… we’ll see a lot of natural disasters. It’ll be gradual, though. One event here, another there. And it’ll get worse with time. By the end of the century, humanity may be in a delicate situation.

It's gotta affect them quickly enough for it not to just become the new normal. If every year is just a bit hotter than the previous year, then they'll all just sit around until they can no longer survive, like the proverbial frog in the pot of water.
