Musk argued that “nobody” had pushed for the release of the Epstein files as much as he did, and he said legacy media and “far-left propagandists” would “make counter-accusations against me” and that he would be “smeared relentlessly.”

He had DOGE. He could have done something about it and didn't. Instead, he deeply compromised our government's data systems, stole sensitive information, destroyed important agencies, and covered up his business crimes. He can burn on the same pyre as this whole administration.

To be fair doge was only about stealing taxpayer information and other government secrets.

Well, and hurting anyone overseeig his business ventures.

One of his alt accounts "defending" him, lol.

[–] Tehbaz@lemmy.wtf 29 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Imagine being the world's first trillionaire but everyone still thinks you're a loser.

I'm more impressed that the world's richest person is so overtly, obviously miserable beyond words.

There's a reason other super-wealthy people keep their head down, they don't want to be judged while also having more privilege than anyone else who ever lived. Not Musk, he just comes out on camera like he's been up crying all night, grumbles some pathetic 4-chan clapback at a imagined enemies and then acts like he just won a reddit argument, earns the ire of millions and then goes back to the shadows to roll around in his money-bin while tweeting insults to strangers.

Meanwhile I've lost everything in life, I've buried people close to me and burned down my past figuratively and literally and have survived the depths of addiction and despair and crawled back into the light and am still making plans for my future... but I know well enough to be gracious to others and to help others and at least smile at strangers.

My dude there hasn't had to worry about having his electricity shut off once in his entire life, he's never stayed up crying all night because he can't afford to take his dying pet to be humanely treated at a vet. He's never done everything in his power to fight something unfair and still be left with nothing. He's not known a goddamn INCH of actual hardship outside of what demons live in his head, and he still looks down on everyone else in the world, while also desperately, painfully seeking their acceptance.

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 10 points 1 week ago (1 children)

That's what really strikes me as well.

I've had an odd life. I've struggled with the demons in my head, I've buried loved ones, I've slept in my car in a Midwestern winter, and I've also thrived beyond what many do in lots of my adulthood. So I feel comfortable saying that he needs someone with his best interests in mind in charge of him while he undergoes a few years of therapy. Also he needs fully off social media, traditional media, and to be away from the toxic groups he's been a part of.

He's being tormented by his isolation that he himself created and his ego. He clearly still has a lot of trauma from his father, and a lot of cultural baggage from his country of origin. At the end of the day, this is a man who abandoned his family when he got "trophy wife" rich and abandoned his daughter when she turned out not like he wanted, yet he still posits himself a great family man while trying to maximize number of children rather than trying to spend good time with them or raise them.

One cannot be happy spending all their time at home alone posting on social media, it doesn't matter if that home is a spartan apartment, a single family dwelling, an enormous estate, or a genuine castle. This is one of the biggest lessons of the past 20 years

Narcissism in a nutshell. His buddy Trump is the same way.

And the person calling him out pays him for a blue checkmark. i hate this planet.

[–] notwhoyouthink@lemmy.zip 9 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Looks like Musk wants to be like dear leader, and is shitting himself publicly too.

[–] aramis87@fedia.io 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

He is so fucking pissed he wasn't born in this country.

[–] hector@lemmy.today 6 points 1 week ago

He would likely be our next president if he was born here so count yourself lucky(er, ish) on that point. Another untold horror awaits us instead.

[–] tanisnikana@lemmy.world 114 points 1 week ago (2 children)

You know, the reason my name won’t ever surface in the Epstein Files is cause I didn’t go there and fuck children. I can’t help but wonder if Musk tried that strategy. Maybe him skill issue?

[–] rabber@lemmy.ca 12 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Is that a megabonk reference haha

[–] tanisnikana@lemmy.world 17 points 1 week ago (1 children)

God, I hate that game,

she says, on her thirty-fifth consecutive pacifist attempt on Forest 1, as Sir Oofie, desperately aching for that thorns tome to come up

[–] rabber@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 week ago

I found the game so addictive until I understood how it actually worked. The rng aspect just stresses me out now, feels like every run is a total disaster now lol

[–] hector@lemmy.today 6 points 1 week ago

You know what, that's the same reason I'm not in the files either. Because I never fucked children with the israeli honeypot operation that filmed it. Maybe that's why I can freely tell people Israel is Nazi.

[–] GuyFawkesV@lemmy.world 49 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Of all people wouldn’t THAT SPECIFIC FUCKER have been in the best position to know the gov’t had the emails? FFS!!!

[–] TheFogan@programming.dev 17 points 1 week ago

Only if he stepped well outside what he was supposed to be doing, and looked at and/or had his goons look at a lot of classified information that they had neither the security clearance, nor the need to know to access.

So in short, yes.

[–] jaybone@lemmy.zip 17 points 1 week ago (2 children)

He had Big Balls write a SQL query to delete it.

[–] Tolookah@discuss.tchncs.de 8 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Sadly, writing an sql query in an Excel spreadsheet to search through folders, and passing a clip art of a run button doesn't work well.

Probably should have clicked the run button.

(Please don't tell me that Excel could handle all the things I mentioned, just because it can doesn't mean it should)

[–] Pieisawesome@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 1 week ago

Excel can definitely do all of the above

[–] jballs@sh.itjust.works 7 points 1 week ago

Dude forgot to add COMMIT;

Happens to the best of us.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 46 points 1 week ago (3 children)

So the guy calling people "pedo" and trying to out Trump on X as being in the Epstein files is actually a pedo and in the Epstein files?

[–] MehBlah@lemmy.world 26 points 1 week ago

Even better he has a program spitting out pictures of CSAM.

[–] bfg9k@lemmy.world 26 points 1 week ago (1 children)

As I've come to realise with these fucksticks, it's ALWAYS projection. You can bet 100% that if a MAGAtard calls you something wild out of the blue, they are in fact the ones doing it.

Now that’s a truly plot twist.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 5 points 1 week ago

Donald blowing Big Beautiful Bill was better.

[–] devolution@lemmy.world 35 points 1 week ago (1 children)

In Elon's defense, he's such a pathetic tag a long that even Epstein didn't invite him. And Epstein trafficks children.

[–] vaultdweller013@sh.itjust.works 20 points 1 week ago (1 children)

And for context Epstein was friends with Null (Founder of 4Chan), Trump, and Woody Allen. So we aren't talking about someone with particularly high standards, Musk is basically the guy in Warhammer fantasy that gets ignored by the slaaneshi cultists because he is just that pathetic.

[–] P1k1e@lemmy.world 10 points 1 week ago

He even gets ignored by dudes who PLAY Slaaneshi cultists

[–] zd9@lemmy.world 23 points 1 week ago (2 children)

What if some of the most deranged MAGA/QAnon base are so mad that they take care of Musk themselves? How poetic would that be?

[–] 14th_cylon@lemmy.zip 14 points 1 week ago (4 children)

i would expect that asshole to live surrounded by some heavy security. i don't think you can just come and slap him (or worse) on the street.

i do think that the security team might be slightly more nervous than usually, but taking him out would need to be some professional operation, not some random maga loser military cosplay.

[–] zd9@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I mean there are plenty of actual ex military deranged MAGA (not just the ones who like to cosplay as SEALS, Rangers, etc).

Imagine what kind of person musk hires as security though. (And what substance they are likely on because that makes them more fun)

[–] 14th_cylon@lemmy.zip 3 points 1 week ago

i imagine someone like this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blackwater_(company) and i doubt they are on ketamine while working. maybe little bit of speed.

It would be glorious for sure!

[–] Gammelfisch@lemmy.world 21 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Time to arrest his worthless racist ass and deport him back to South Africa.

Money>morals unfortunately.

[–] smeenz@lemmy.nz 6 points 1 week ago

Capitalism says no

[–] Doomsider@lemmy.world 8 points 1 week ago

I almost feel sorry for him considering his dad is an epic child molester. But then you realize he helped cover it up, denies it, and is also a chomo.

[–] DylanMc6@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 1 week ago

Meanwhile, Vivian Wilson's doing pretty fine. Seriously!

[–] Lushed_Lungfish@lemmy.ca 6 points 1 week ago

Oh he's been flailing long before that.
