WW2 didn't start to save people from camps. It started because Germany was annexing countries.

And we even let them do that several times before actually doing anything. Hell, if France and Britain had not given up in Czechoslovakia, there possibly wouldn't't even have been a WW2, just a "german-czechoslovakian war of 1938".

Hmmm, I wonder if there's any current events that make this relevant.

Oh wait, there's like a multitude of countries this applies to at this point. USA is actually just catching up to some others that have been pretty terrible for a while.

So... Do something Europe instead of continuing to act like all this is normal. Ignore the USA, do it for Ukraine, for Palestine, for Iran, take down the murderous regimes and stop the brutality. Please.

I am a militant pacifist, I will support any and all war necessary to bring peace, human rights and meaningful democracy to any and all oppressed people before they are inevitably erased by genocide or indoctrinated and used to bring war against other innocents by authoritarian tyrants.

I once believed the USA actually shared these values, and thus deserved their place as hegemon of the international rules based order, but their increasingly apathetic, increasingly ineffectual, increasingly dishonest, increasingly self-serving and increasingly counterproductive efforts, with minor issues starting as far back as the Korean war and only getting steadily more dire in example after example the closer we come to modern times, had already started to seriously erode that point of view, long before they were finally taken over by an authoritarian tyrant.

Team America: World Police was always fiction, I think, and I'll admit it had me fooled for much longer than it should have, until it just became too obvious to deny, the faster they were to pump oil, extract strategic concessions or exploit resources without meaningfully contributing to any stability or security or safety for the people.

TBH I'm happy that Mexico and the USA didn't ally with the Germans, and believe me the Nazis did try to make that happen.

More importantly the vast majority of WWII atrocities probably could have been avoided if the USSR did NOT ally with them like they did.

Yup, then and now, it's the Russians causing trouble for everyone.

The allies didn't care at all. Jews in germany was saved because Germany declared war on them
